On Tuesday, May 7th, Jim Brinton received the Industry Person of The Year award from NAMA (National Automatic Merchandising Association). This award recognizes individuals who have consistently exemplified the highest standards of professional excellence and achieved business success throughout their careers.
So it's no surprise that this is Jim's second time receiving this award. A true industry titan, Jim has come full circle: from being one of the first recipients of this award to revolutionizing the space with micro markets, he continues to shake up the industry to this day. Having been in the industry for nearly 50 years, Jim is known among his colleagues as a pioneer, fearless innovator, and leader.
Jim revitalized the vending industry. Vending was at a standstill when he invented the Micro Market concept with Avanti Markets. Jim has made the biggest impact on our industry since the invention of vending machines. -Greg Sidwell, G & J Marketing and Sales
He is a lifelong learner and is passionate about sharing knowledge and embracing a growth mindset. As an active participant in State Council activities, Jim has served in various leadership roles in NAMA. He was Board Chair from 2008-2009 and remains active in Chair Emeritus status.
